Half naked comedian Eric Omondi arrested while leading protest outside Parliament

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 21 – Comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested while leading a group of half naked youths protesting over the country’s high cost of living outside the precincts of Parliament.

They were protesting over increased taxes which they said have made life untenable.

The youth who brought business along Parliament Road to a standstill demanded an audience with National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula to air their grievances.

Carrying placards written ‘high cost of living’, ‘high cost of electricity and cooking oil,’ they have blamed the National Assembly for the current situation.

Omondi and his troops stated that the National Assembly has conned Mwananchi by legislating and passing the Finance Act which resulted in high taxes being passed on to Kenyans.

The youth who were walked shirtless only doning black boxers were heard chanting “vijana msilale bado mapambano”

The police officers manning the precincts of Parliament quickly intervened by lobbying tear gas canisters to disperse them.
