Fire engines deployed to Nairobi Expressway after Range Rover catches fire

A Range Rover caught fire near the GM area on Nairobi Expressway on Thursday, causing major traffic disruptions.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 29 — Fire engines were deployed to the Nairobi Expressway on Thursday morning after a Range Rover caught fire near the General Motors (GM) area, causing major traffic disruptions toward Mlolongo.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a huge plume of black smoke rising from the vehicle, alarming motorists and slowing traffic in the affected lanes. Emergency crews responded promptly to contain the blaze and ensure driver safety.

No injuries have been reported so far, and authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire.
