Ex-State House Comptroller Lenayapa is dead

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 29 – Former State House Comptroller and ambassador to to the Netherlands Lawrence Lenayapa is dead.

Lenayapa served in the position for five years during former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime.

He was also formerly the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources.

He died early Thursday after a short illness.

Condoning with the Lenayapa’s family and friends President William Ruto mourned him as a public servant.

“My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ambassador Lawrence Lenayapa who has passed away. The country has lost a dedicated public servant,” President Ruto said.
