NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 15 – The national men’s football team Harambee Stars wrapped up its 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier with a 3-0 defeat away to Ivory Coast in Abidjan on Tuesday night.

The result meant that Ivory Coast booked a spot in next year’s global showpiece to be hosted in USA, Canada and Mexico.

Senegal also qualified after thrashing Mauritania 3-0, joined by South Africa who whipped Rwanda 3-0.

Notable teams that missed out on direct qualification are Nigeria and Cameroon.
