NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 11 – Ahead of the WRC Safari to take place around Naivasha over the Easter weekend Vivo Energy Kenya, the sponsors of an all-ladies rally team has committed to support motorsport in the country.
Mark Senteu, Country Marketing Manager at Vivo Energy Kenya, paid a courtesy call to Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ababu Namwamba at his office in Talanta Plaza, Headquarters.
CS Ababu noted that the Shell brand has been part of Kenya’s Motorsport history since independence, and its commitment to social responsibility is commendable.
“This is a promising collaboration between government and corporate entities that will help improve and promote sports in our country.”
“Through this partnership, we envision a range of initiatives from sponsoring local sports events to supporting grassroots talent as part of the Government’s BETA Agenda.” Noted CS.
Vivo Energy plans to get back into Motorsport by supporting women, young upcoming drivers, and ladies in Motorsport.
CS Ababu applauded Senteu for his commitment and support, noting that investing in young talent at an early age is part of the #TalantaHela initiative to identify and nurture talent.
“I am eager to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can best leverage this partnership, especially as we plan to launch the rally school.
