NAIROBI, Kenya, May 31 – The Resolution Impala Saracens second row duo of Eric Kerre and Simon Muniafu are set to earn their first international caps after being named in Kenya’s side to take on Uganda in the Elgon Cup first leg on Saturday in Kampala.
Returning to the squad’s front row are the Kang’ethe twins after a year out with Impala’s Nato Simiyu, David Ambunya, Max Adaka and Dan Sikuta earning their maiden call ups under head Coach Jerome Paarwater.
Speaking on the upcoming Elgon Cup match, Simbas Forwards coach Dominique Habimana was positive the team will begin their season on a winning mote.
” We want to reclaim the Elgon Cup, but at the same time want to build up our World Rugby points tally which is the key priority,” Habimana told Kenya Rugby Union.
