Come on You Starlets! Dogo scores as Kenya qualify for Africa Cup of Nations

NAIROBI, Kenya, October 28, 2025 – The national women’s football team easily secured their ticket to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) with a 1-0 victory over the Gambia in the return leg of their qualifier in Senegal on Tuesday night.

Mwanalima ‘Dogo’ Adam scored the all-important goal in the 56th minute to guarantee Starlets place among the 16 teams at the continental showpiece, set for Morocco.

Starlets had won 3-1 in the first leg in Nairobi on Friday last week.
