KUCCPS opens portal for placements to university, TVETS and TTCs

Candidates must visit the KUCCPS portal (https://t.co/6ssPlKURCd) and log in using their KCSE index number, examination year, and password.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 29 – The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened its application portal for the 2025 university placement, with the deadline set for April 21, 2025.

In a statement on Friday, KUCCPS urged 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to apply for their preferred courses.

The placement service also announced that the portal is open for students seeking placement in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).

“Attention, 2024 KCSE cohort! You can now apply for degree courses via the KUCCPS official portal,” KUCCPS stated.

“The KUCCPS portal is open for degree, TVET, and TTC applications. Target: 2024 KCSE candidates for degree courses and 2000-2024 KCSE candidates for TVET and TTC courses,” the statement added.

Candidates must visit the KUCCPS portal (https://t.co/6ssPlKURCd) and log in using their KCSE index number, examination year, and password.

KUCCPS advised students to use either their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or birth certificate number as their password.

According to KUCCPS, the portal includes 40 public universities eligible for government scholarships and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) funding.

It also features 29 private universities, which qualify for HELB loans but not government scholarships, and 263 public colleges eligible for both government scholarships and HELB loans.

Students are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline to secure placement in their preferred institutions.
