Sports CS Amina Mohamed’s husband is dead

NAIROBI, Kenya July 29 – Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed’s husband is dead.

Khalid Ahmed died at the Karen Hospital on Thursday morning after a short illness, a government official close to the Cabinet Secretary told Capital FM but there was no immediate statement from the family.

He was set to be buried later Thursday afternoon in line with the Muslim traditions.

Ahmed has not been in the public limelight, but he is said to be a businessman.

President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned him as a gentleman, strong family pillar and an astute businessman.
