NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 4 – Kariobangi Sharks youngster Stanley Wilson has been included in the Harambee Stars provisional squad that has reported to camp ahead of this month’s twin friendly matches against Qatar in Doha and South Sudan in Nairobi.
Wilson has caught the eye of head coach Engin Firat in the first two games of the season, consecutive draws against Kenya Police FC and Tusker FC, and the Turkish trainer decided to evaluate his abilities more from close range.
He had not been initially named in the 26-man provisional squad, but has now been added in, as was Gor Mahia’s Austin Odhiambo.

The team reported for residential training on Sunday evening after the conclusion of the second round of the FKF Premier League and will train for two days before departing for Doha on Wednesday evening.
They are set to face the Qataris on Thursday evening, and return to Nairobi Friday, then play the South Sudanese on Tuesday next week here in Nairobi.
Meanwhile, only two foreign based players, Saudi Arabia based Masud Juma and Tanzania based Duke Abuya have reported to camp. The rest are expected to join in from Monday afternoon after leaving club duty.
Skipper Michael Olunga is however most likely linking up with the team in Doha, where he is based.
Stars are preparing for November’s World Cup qualifiers where they have been drawn in Group F alongside Seychelles, Burundi, Gambia, Gabon, and Côte d’Ivoire.
