LONDON, United Kingdom, June 21 – Kenya’s Victor Wanyama is on the verge of completing his move to Tottenham Hotspur from Southampton – and North London rivals Arsenal have already been warned about what the Kenyan has to offer.
Wanyama was set to undergo a medical at Tottenham on Monday, ahead of a Sh 1.6 billion (£11 million) switch.
Wanyama is known for his tough tackling, and as can be seen above, Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has felt the full force.
Sanchez has even come a cropper up against Wanyama on more than one occasion…

Another Arsenal star caught the brunt of Wanyama’s physicality when Arsenal met Southampton last December, with the Kenyan clattering into Theo Walcott.

The central midfield ace is well known for his tough tackling and occasional red card, here is a look at a few more of his crunching challenges, with West Ham ace Dimitri Payet and Chelsea star Eden Hazard among those on the receiving end.
Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has been quoted saying that he hopes Saints fans understand his decision to join Tottenham.
Wanyama, 24, has been one of Southampton’s key players ever since his 2013 move from Celtic, as he adjusted easily to the jump from Scottish football to the Premier League.
The Kenyan international impressed with his strength in front of the back four, and his performances appear to have attracted major interest in his signature.
Wanyama and Mauricio Pochettino worked together at Southampton, and the prospect of joining up with his former boss will be enticing for the midfielder having played such a key role under the Argentinian.
Now, with the deal seemingly drawing ever closer, Wanyama has been asked about the situation, and said that the chance to play in the Champions League was one he simply couldn’t turn down.
Wanyama added that he will miss Southampton but hopes the fans will understand his decision to join Tottenham as he appeared to confirm the move, which was tough for him given his love for the Saints.
