The three-day event will culminate Wednesday at the Machakos Teacher’s Training College and Machakos Academy venues.

John Chul opened the scoring before Steve Kagai from Moi Avenue Primary sunk a brace for the next couple of goals to give the winners a 3-0 first half lead.

Paul Maina, Erick Sifa and David Jumange got into the goal hunt after the breather to seal the rout with Emmanuel Apem registering the scant consolation for the hapless Highland.

Titleholders Lake Region football girls beat Aberdares by 2-0 to start their defence emphatically with the other match in the category between Mau and Highland ending in a barren stalemate.

In Handball Metropolitan beat Mau 16-14 in the girls as Nzoia handed Aberdares a 24-5 whipping as Mau edged out Coast 24-21 in the corresponding boys’ category.
