Stars get set for Angola

NAIROBI, Kenya, March 21- Harambee Stars started preparations on Monday for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.

Goalkeeper Arnold Origi and Dennis Odhiambo were the first foreign players to arrive with Auxerre striker Dennis Oliech and Inter Milan striker McDonald Mariga expected on Tuesday while Victor Ngugi is scheduled to land on Wednesday.

The team will train at Nyayo National Stadium which is also the venue for the match.

Stars are struggling to qualify for the Nations Cup having lost their first match 1-0 to Guinea Bissau in September last year and a barren draw against East African rivals Uganda Cranes the following month.

They are currently bottom of Group J with one point.

Stars coach Zedekiah Otieno has the arduous task of turning his team’s fortunes around with tough return legs in Kampala and Luanda on the horizon.
