Jubilee publicist Pauline Njoroge faces trafficking charges over possession of narcotics

Pauline was arrested in Malindi alongside her friend Jane Nduta and a driver whose vehicle was also detained when they were flagged down on Jacaranda Road in Watamu.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 23 — Jubilee Party blogger Pauline Njoroge who was arrested on Saturday will be charged with possessing narcotic drugs, police have said.

Pauline was arrested in Malindi alongside her friend Jane Nduta and a driver whose vehicle was also detained when they were flagged down on Jacaranda Road in Watamu.

According to police, four rolls of dry plant material suspected to be narcotic drugs were found in the vehicle before they were taken to houses where they were putting up.

“A further search was conducted at their residence at Mawe Zuri resort house number Tatu which was occupied by Jane Mwangi and a clear container containing ten (10) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was recovered and in house number Nine which was occupied by Pauline Njoki Njoroge, a clear container containing 50 (fifty) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was also recovered,” police said in an internal brief seen by Capital News.

The brief added that the police detained Njoroge’s associates.

“All suspects were booked and placed in custody to be charged with the offense of being in possession of Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances,” the brief states.
