MACHAKOS, Kenya, Jan 11 – Francis Nyenze’s widow is among those seeking to secure the Wiper party’s nomination ahead of the Kitui West by-election in March.
The seat has attracted more than 10 aspirants so far and the Wiper party has three candidates who have expressed interest including Vethi.
Her main challenger is the son to politician Nyiva Mwendwa, Maluki Kitili Mwendwa.
The seat fell vacant after the demise of Nyenze in December last year.
