NAIROBI, Kenya, February 15- Rwandese side APR are expected in Nairobi on Thursday evening ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg tie against domestic titleholders Tusker FC.
Tusker FC head coach, Sammy Omollo is expected to unveil his final squad for the game in the next 24 hours as the Brewers brace for their first test at the top continental club competition since the 2008 campaign where they crashed out at the same stage.
Match officials for the clash that will be played on Saturday at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium will also start arriving on Thursday afternoon.
On Wednesday, the International Match Organizing Committee for the game comprising of Football Kenya Federation, Tusker FC, Ticket Masters and the Kenya Police held a meeting to deliberate on the logistics.
Only 10,000 tickets to be sold at various outlets within Nairobi will be printed for the 30,000-seater capacity stadium with the sale of the same starting on Friday.
Tusker FC team manager, Neville Pudo, assured all arrangements were in place for the fixture against a team that enjoyed a 5-0 success over Gor Mahia on their last visit to Nairobi for a continental tie.
“I urge our fans to turn out in large numbers to support the team since the boys are eager to impress and progress to the next stage,” Pudo added.
The General Public can buy the tickets from Ticket Masters Outlets located at the City Stadium Ticketing booth, Nyayo National Stadium, Kenya Cinema and 20th Century Cinema.
There will be 2,000Tickets for the Main Stand tickets and 8,000 for terraces costing Sh400 and Sh200 respectively.
