NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 1 – Kisumu West Member of the County Assembly Paul Odhiambo who is said to have been kidnapped has resurfaced.

Odhiambo reported to the Rongo Police Station later on Friday.

Kisumu County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim said Odhiambo was kidnapped by three men and a woman who followed him from Kisumu Town. They blocked his car and drove him to an unknown destination.

There was chaos in the outskirts of Kisumu on Friday after residents barricaded roads to protest the abduction of the ward representative.

Before his abduction, he had been seen late Thursday and there had been fears he may have been kidnapped by his rivals due to his firm stand on governance issues at the County Assembly.

The locals stormed and burnt the house of an officer working in the County Government of Kisumu after he was accused of having a hand in the disappearance of the MCA.
