Bolt plots 2017 Worlds glorious farewell

BOLT-SWANSONGLONDON, February 14- Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt plans to bow out in glory after the 2017 World Championships in London, he said in a British newspaper interview published on Saturday.

The 28-year-old six-time Olympic champion had previously suggested he would retire after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, but now says he will continue until 2017, albeit only in the 100 metres.

“That was the initial plan (to retire in 2016),” he told the Daily Mail. “But my sponsor has asked me to go on for another year, to 2017 and London.

“But I’ll be doing one event, the 100. I’ve already discussed it with my coach. I can concentrate on that, and on retiring on a winning note.”

Bolt’s main focus for 2015 will be the World Championships in Beijing on August 22-30.

He hopes to add to his collection of eight world titles and also wants to break the 100m world record of 9.58 seconds that he set at the 2009 worlds in Berlin.

“Well, it takes races,” he said. “But if everything goes well this season… in my life anything is possible. If I can get myself in good shape, it should be wonderful this season.

“I live for competition. I thrive on competition. I live to compete against the best. It means a lot when you beat the best.

“I remember when I won in Beijing (at the 2008 Olympics), people were saying how Tyson (Gay) wasn’t there. So for me the World Championship the following year, when everyone was there, that was good.”

The truth shall set the VP free, anything else will permanently keep him in bondage, be it be G7 or by Mutula

The Gang of 7 is anything but finished, the group is composed of selfish people who think they can herd their communities like sheep… the era of tribal kingpins is long gone and the earlier the gang realizes that the better. As for sacking Kilonzo, in his own words that will not change a damn thing about his position

Its becoming crystal clear that we have to level with brother Ruto and brother Uhuru. They seem to have forgotten that behind the facade of empty noise and pretentious confidence, they are charged with murderous offences at ICC. In our penal code, we call them capital offences, the most serious in the land. And thus, someone should bluntly tell these brothers Mutula’s position is actually correct, only the timing is wrong. When some of us joined them for prayers, we saw Kalonzo and Wamalwa as their credibility items. It was actually on pure basis of “condemned brothers” needing prayers badly. It never dawned on us that the guys were hidding behind the prayers to pretend that ICC cases were not a naked reality. They cant expect us to condone a situation whereby their actions suggest that they are suspected bitter killers fighting back, we certainly wont. Brotherhood can never be mistaken for begging! If they they are so bitter and expect the world to stop for them so that they believe our support is genuine, they are totally mistaken. They wont go far at all. To attempt to be dictatorial when the situation demands otherwise, is a pitty and recipe for down fall. If for instance, Kalonzo joins forces with merchants of deceit, will their fate not be sealed with or without ICC? Why do they value so much vile propaganda
from the other side if they have not been arrested by it? Cant someone tell these guys empty bravado and misplaced bitterness is not leadership at all? I said before I dont want to believe my favorite guys are naive empties.

Am persuaded to think brother Hon. William Ruto, my favorite leader, is making the same mistake he made while we were trying to have Hague suspects tried in the country. Ruto was the most vocal in insisting on the Hague option. At that time I told a friend that his sins had clouded his vision to believe that Hague was not going to come. We laughed it off but somehow, my friend agreed with me.  A few months later, ICC rudely came knocking. Brother Ruto was so confused and shocked that he thought taking the next flight to Holland could change things. He went there and came back a very bitter man indeed. From then on, one thing after another has been happening, totally out of control. But the brother doesnt seem to know who are his true friends. Brother Uhuru on his part, seems to see things on a tribal mirror. He seems to think that with a big tribe behind, nothing can go wrong. Thats utter nonsense and recipe for disaster. ICC doesnt weigh things on a tribal scale! He needs to understand that bitterness is not leadership at all. And hidding behind tribalism would only increase enemies when the situation demands otherwise. Its really instructive brother Kalonzo, who has fought so hard for two, is being ridiculed for no apparent reason. Obviously the propaganda of someone waiting to cash in from the spoils has gone in to their heads. Needless to say, they have been captured by enemy propaganda. They forget that whatever the case and whatever bitterness, someone WILL SURELY BENEFIT from their predicament. Be it their choices or not. Its just too clear cut unless their ICC ordeal is reversed. To attempt to criminalize the obvious is unbelievable naivety. These brothers need to be told in no uncertain terms that their pretentious mischief is only bound to benefit masters of deceit. And what will happen, if forinstance, their appeals are rejected? Where is their insurance? Serious people dont operate in a vacuum pals! Their stated position of vying for the presidency CANT BE FOR REAL if the ICC axe still hangs on them. The two brothers need to tread very very carefully, otherwise their pride will explode on their faces. They need to be bluntly told that they cant surely make it to the presidency when charged with most serious capital offences. And untill their appeals are decided on, they should keep their cool. Its totally unwise to expose your seemingly thankless vindictiveness at this late hour. Perhaps, stress caused by ICC episode is slowly and surely taking its toll! Brothers, we pray for you but please go slowly, Canaan is still miles away, no doubt about it.

kalonzo is such a lost little sheep…si he did the same to his running mate ojiambo in the runup to the 2007 elections

Ojiambo was never a running mate but imposter who had no value at all. However, Kalonzo fearing another deserting just ploughed on with her. How many votes did she get in her constituency? 400 if I remember? It was a huge blunder to have her around. But sometimes you make do with the little you have. Nevertheless, people are not supposed to claim credit for their negativity!!!
