NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 11 – Popular online personality iShowSpeed has touched down in Nairobi, kicking off a highly anticipated visit that will see him collaborate with young Ugandan content creator Tenge Tenge on a series of creative projects, engagements, and cultural exchange activities.
The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) confirmed his arrival and invited Kenyans to suggest the top spots he should visit first, highlighting the country as a hub of creativity, culture, and tourism.
This visit marks Kenya’s inclusion in iShowSpeed’s ongoing “Speed Does Africa” tour, which aims to explore and celebrate African cities, culture, and talent.
The visit was warmly welcomed by Nairobi County Government Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria who received Tenge Tenge ahead of the tour.
Mosiria highlighted Kenya’s vibrant creative ecosystem, noting that Nairobi continues to be a hub for young, innovative, and digitally savvy talent.
“This visit presents a unique opportunity for cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and youth empowerment,” Mosiria said. “Kenya is a beautiful country, and Nairobi is full of talent, especially among young and creative content creators. Our guests will have a great time learning from us, just as we learn from them.”
They are scheduled to meet iShowSpeed – before his departure—to further strengthen collaboration and explore ways the Kenyan creative sector can benefit from the insights and experience of regional digital stars.
This collaboration underscores the growing influence of African digital creators and the increasing importance of cross-border partnerships in fostering youth creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
It is expected to inspire local content creators, promote cultural exchange, and showcase Kenya as a hub for regional talent development.
With this visit, Nairobi is set to host a dynamic exchange of ideas, skills, and creative energy, highlighting the city’s potential as a leading platform for regional digital content collaboration and youth empowerment initiatives.
