Autopsy results on Tob Cohen due later Tuesday as examination gets underway

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 17 – Lawyers, detectives and pathologists arrived at the Chriomo Funeral Parlour Monday morning ahead of a postmortem on Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen’s body.

Those present when the examination got underway included lawyer Cliff Ombeta who will be presenting Cohen’s family, lawyer Phillip Murgor for the widow Sarah Wairimu, the investigating officer and a team from the Government Chemist.

Government Pathologist Dr Johansen Odour is leading the exercise.

Authorities are seeking to establish circumstances leading to Cohen’s death the probable date when the incident happened.

The body of Cohen,71, was found in a septic tank at his Kitisuru home in Nairobi on Friday.

DCI George Kinoti said the body of the Dutch national was discovered on Friday afternoon, a day after the tycoon’s wife was presented in court on a murder charge.
