NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 30 – Stewart Hall announced his return to Kenyan football with an impressive victory as his Wazito side thrashed a hapless Chemelil Sugar side 6-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday.
Hall who has previously coached Sofapaka and AFC Leopards was called in to work alongside Frank Ouna and he ensured he showed just why the demanding owner of the club placed faith in him as the side picked up the massive victory and a second consecutive clean sheet.
The win, Wazito’s third this season pushes them to 11th in the standings.
Elvis Rupia looks to be rediscovering his scoring form after a lull that saw him go on a fruitless mission in Zambia. He scored three, opening the deadlock from the penalty spot.
Pistone Mutamba crowned off the evening with his first goal since returning to the stable while Victor Ndinya and Derick Otanga grabbed one each.
Meanwhile at the Kasarani Stadium, Kariobangi Sharks’ struggles continued this season as they lost a 2-1 lead to go down 5-2 to Zedekiah Otieno’s KCB.
Sharks had come from a goal down after Simon Abuko had given the bankers the lead with Duke Abuya and Julius Masaba scoring twice in succession in the 26th and 28th minutes.
However, they would drop that momentum with Reagan Otieno celebrating his first ever national team call up with a brace while Enock Agwanda and Samuel mwangi added one each.
In Mumias, AFC Leopards played to a 2-2 draw with Nzoia Sugar while a few kilometres away, leaders Gor Mahia were held to a goalless draw by Ulinzi Stars.
