During Ruto’s and Sang’s trial, credibility and reliability issues of the prosecution witnesses and the evidence presented were constant which prompted the defence to ask the judges to allow them to employ the motion of no case-to-answer before their defence case.
They also cited poor evidence they deemed to be weak and a machination of the prosecution.

Come Tuesday, Ruto and Sang will know if they will walk freely after a journey of four years fighting for their innocence at The Hague based court.
Judges of the Trial Chamber V (a) are on Tuesday evening expected to issue a written decision that will determine if the case will collapse at the prosecutor’s level or proceed to the next level that will require the defence to start their case.
