BEIJING, China, Jan 24 – Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi landed in Beijing, China Wednesday, commencing a significant three-day official visit to strengthen ties and bilateral cooperation between Kenya and China.
Mudavadi received a warm welcome from Deputy Directors of the Department of African Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yu Yong and Xu Benin, alongside Kenyan Ambassador to China, Willy Bett.
He is accompanied on the trip by various government officials, including Aurelia Rono, the Principal Secretary of State Department for Parliamentary Affairs.
This official visit comes as an extension of an invitation from Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs for China. It offers a valuable opportunity for continued discussions following President William Ruto’s recent state visit to China.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Mudavadi will engage with high-ranking government representatives from the People’s Republic of China. The focus will be on strengthening collaboration in trade, investment, labour, and security, further enhancing the relationship between Kenya and China.
China remains committed to deepening its vital partnerships with Kenya, actively participating in impactful infrastructural projects and supporting various economic development sectors.
