Send candidate’s Index to 22263 to know secondary school placement

NAIROBI, Kenya Jan 16 – To know the secondary school placement, send a text message with the candidate’s index number followed by KCPE or KPSEA to 22263.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu said the SMS service was activated on Monday morning when he released the school placement results.

“The service is now available for anyone who wants to know which school their child has been selected to join,” he said.

Machogu said all the 1,253,6577 candidates who sat the 2022 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exam will start to access the results from tomorrow while KCPE candidates can access them immediately.

Machogu said all the learners who sat the examination will transit to junior secondary.

“I am happy to announce that the exercise has already been completed and that schools will be able to access the reports through the KNEC portal from tomorrow, Tuesday 17,” he declared.

Parents have asked the government to consider postponing the school opening dates so that the classrooms and laboratories are built first.

The KPSEA results will not determine how pupils will proceed to junior high school.
