Magoha joins Maseno University as a Professor in the School of Medicine

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 18 – Former Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has joined the Maseno University as a Professor in the School of Medicine.

According to the University’s Director of Public Relations, Owen McOnyango, the appointment takes effect immediately.

McOnyango indicated that the varsity was optimistic that Magoha’s experience will elevate the department.

He described Magoha as a renowned academic adding that his previous experience will also be a plus to the university and beneficial to the medicine students.

McOnyango stated that the Maseno University’s School of Medicine is new and was established in the year 2011 and had the graduation of its first cohort in 2019.

Magoha served in former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration as Education CS from March 2019.

He also served as Vice-Chancellor at the University of Nairobi (UoN) from the year 2005 to 2015 before joining the national government.
