Ahmed Abdulahi retains CoG Chairperson seat

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 6 – Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdulahi has retained his position as the chairperson of the Council of Governors in a full council meeting held on Monday.

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga was also re-elected as the CoG vice chair.

Tharaka Nithi’s Muthomi Njuki joins the Council’s Executive as Whip, taking over from Nandi Governor Stephen Sang.

Abdulahi and his team took over office last year after Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru served a constitutional two term as the CoG chair.
