Aman regretted that even with the number of deaths associated to COVID-19 steadily rising, Kenyans were unbothered by the situation and cautioned that the situation was getting worse.
“It disturbs us when we see lives seemingly appearing to be normal back to the times at the pre-COVID time. As we have said before, this are not normal times and we really need to observe the containment measures,” he said.
He emphasized that the adherence of the measures provided by the Ministry of Health aimed at preventing the spread of the virus was key in defeating the disease.
Wearing of masks, social distancing, washing of hands by soap and water and staying at home are some of the measures the government has been categorical on that their adherence would go a long way on achieving success in the spread of the virus.
Kenya COVID-19 infection cases stand at 737 after 22 new cases were reported on Wednesday.
The recovery cases also shot up to 281 after 22 patients were discharged from hospital with Aman lauding the efforts of the health care workers who are in the frontline in battling the virus.
Globally the virus has killed more than 292, 000 people with the number of those infected surpassing the 4 million mark.
