Safaricom Launches “Grow with Safaricom Business” Platform for MSMEs

Through a series of workshops and seminars, MSMEs will have the opportunity to exchange ideas on leveraging digital technologies for expanding market reach, streamlining operations, and establishing a robust online brand presence.

NAIROBI, Kenya Mar 9 – Safaricom PLC (NSE:SCOM) has introduced the “Grow with Safaricom Business” engagement platform for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), aiming to foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration to boost their businesses.

Through a series of workshops and seminars, MSMEs will have the opportunity to exchange ideas on leveraging digital technologies for expanding market reach, streamlining operations, and establishing a robust online brand presence. Moreover, experts will offer guidance on navigating regulatory requirements for sustainable growth and compliance.

Cynthia Kropac, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Safaricom, highlighted the importance of MSMEs in driving Kenya’s economic growth. She stated, “Through the Grow with Safaricom Business series, we aim to empower MSMEs with the knowledge and skills needed to sustainably accelerate their growth and overcome challenges such as digitization, limited market access, regulatory barriers, and brand building.”

In addition to educational sessions, the platform will facilitate networking opportunities for MSMEs to connect with peers, industry experts, and potential partners. Ms. Kropac emphasized Safaricom’s commitment to leveraging its network, experience, and innovation to support MSMEs in thriving in the digital era.

Safaricom offers various business solutions including Business Voice, Data and SMS, Cloud Solutions, Cybersecurity Solutions, Internet for Business, Internet of Things (IoT), and M-Pesa for Business, among others.
