CFAO Kenya opens new farm machinery showroom in Mombasa

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 13 – CFAO Kenya has opened a new Case IH agricultural machinery showroom at Mnazi Mmoja in Mombasa, marking a major investment in farm equipment in the coastal region.

The facility was launched at an event attended by executives from CNH Industrial, CFAO Kenya and Mombasa County officials.

Vincent DeLassange, Vice President of CNH Middle East and Africa, said Kenya remains one of Africa’s fastest-growing agricultural markets.

“We are keen to build partnerships with Kenyan farmers and support the country’s agricultural transformation. We do this through world-class technology, and continuous technical support,” he said.

CFAO Group Chairman and Country Delegate Ambassador Dennis Awori said the new showroom shows confidence in Kenya’s agricultural potential and Mombasa’s role as a regional hub.

“CFAO Group’s investment in this world-class facility demonstrates our long-term commitment to supporting Kenya’s farmers with the technology and services they need to compete globally. We believe that agricultural mechanisation is fundamental to achieving food security, creating employment, and driving rural prosperity across this nation,” said Awori.

Mombasa Deputy Governor Francis Thoya welcomed the investment, saying it will help local farmers and create jobs.

“This is a testament of our unwavering resolve to ensure that key partnerships prioritise our local farmers. The county’s commitment to backing private investments that boost farm productivity and create jobs in adequate food security, as well as yield improvement is on the rise. We thank CFAO Kenya for their solid investment in the sector,” he said.

The showroom will stock a wide range of Case IH tractors, ranging from 55 to 700 horsepower, suitable for both small-scale and large commercial farmers.

The compact JXT series (35–75 HP) is designed for smaller farms, orchards and greenhouse work. The mid-range FARMALL JXM and JX Straddle series (80–98 HP) target row-crop farmers and offer improved transmission and hydraulic systems.

For bigger farms, the Maxxum series (110–140 HP) and the Puma series (155–185 HP) provide higher power, advanced hydraulic systems and greater lifting capacity for heavy-duty work.

All tractors come with safety features, fuel-efficient engines and support from trained technicians. Fuel tank sizes range from 60 to 395 litres depending on the model.

In addition to tractors, the showroom will supply ploughs, disc harrows, boom sprayers and planters designed to work with the Case IH machines.

The new outlet is expected to improve access to farm equipment, spare parts and maintenance services for farmers in the coastal region and neighbouring counties.
