NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 2 – Online subscription video on demand service Showmax subscribers will enjoy an extra month of viewing their favorite programs through a new campaign.
From February 1 2023, subscribers who pay for one month of Showmax will receive a second month for free.
The deal applies to Showmax and Showmax Mobile plans and is available to new and returning subscribers.
“We are making Showmax so people really can watch anytime, anywhere, at a great price. Plus, on Showmax, 1GB can last up to 10 hours on our lowest data setting,” MultiChoice Connected Video CEO Yolisa Phahle said.
“This deal is our way of making world-class entertainment even more affordable and even more accessible for streaming fans.”
The deal comes as Showmax debuts season 3 of The Real Housewives of Durban, and Season 2 of the popular Kenyan drama series Single Kiasi, which follows three women as they navigate the ups and downs of relationships and careers in Nairobi.
Ongoing include Ghanaian docu-reality series My Perfect Funeral, Nigeria’s telenovela Wura, among others.
For convenience, Showmax also allows viewers to download episodes to mobile devices to watch offline, including the smash-hit telenovela The Wife.
The deal runs from February 1 to March 3 2023, and excludes Showmax Pro and Showmax Pro Mobile. It will be available in all African markets
