Carter’s Passing
Carter passed away on Sunday at the age of 100 at his home in Plains, Georgia, according to The Washington Post, which cited his son, James E. Carter III. While no immediate cause of death was provided, Carter had been in hospice care since February 2023 after a series of hospital stays. He had been treated for an aggressive form of melanoma that had spread to his liver and brain.
