Turkish luxury brand Giovane Gentile opens first African store in Nairobi

NAIROBI, Kenya Nov 7 – Turkish menswear brand Giovane Gentile has entered the African market with the opening of its first concept store at The Village Market in Gigiri, Nairobi, marking the brand’s debut on the continent as part of its global expansion strategy.
The Istanbul-based label, founded in 2001, aims to tap into East Africa’s growing appetite for premium fashion, positioning Nairobi as a key hub in its regional growth plans.
“Our new store at The Village Market provides customers with collections and experiences comparable to what we offer in other major global cities,” said Fehime Kafkas, Director of Giovane Gentile Kenya. “Our pieces are designed for modern, confident individuals who value image and elegance, whether in the boardroom or at social events.”
The brand’s business and casual collections feature fabrics from renowned Italian fashion houses such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Loro Piana, Cerruti, Vitale Barberis, and Zignone, with a Limited Edition line offering handcrafted suits and shoes made from fine natural materials.
Speaking during the launch, Turkish Ambassador to Kenya Subutay Yüksel praised the brand’s enduring quality, noting that a Giovane Gentile suit he bought 15 years ago “still looks as good as new.”
The Nairobi store joins 65 concept outlets globally and 23 in Turkey, with other international markets including the U.S., Italy, Germany, UAE, South Africa, and Russia.
By adopting a philosophy of “affordable luxury,” Giovane Gentile says it seeks to offer refined, accessible menswear that blends style, comfort, and timeless sophistication.
