NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 23 – Ride-hailing firm Bolt has launched Bolt Send, a parcel delivery service that allows customers to request deliveries through the existing Bolt app.
The move targets Kenya’s growing e-commerce sector and rising demand for everyday logistics solutions.
Deliveries will be handled by vetted driver-partners, with features such as real-time tracking and secure handling built into the platform.
The service will initially operate in Nairobi before expanding to other cities in the coming months.
The expansion comes as rising internet penetration and shifting consumer habits drive demand for faster, affordable, and reliable delivery options.
Logistics remains one of the biggest challenges in the e-commerce space, creating opportunities for tech-driven solutions.
By leveraging its established driver network, Bolt aims to strengthen last-mile logistics and deepen its role in Kenya’s digital economy, positioning itself more competitively against courier firms and global tech players.
