Binance urges Kenyan youth to join academy for crypto knowledge

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 20 – Kenyans, especially the youth, have been encouraged to join the Binance Academy to enhance their understanding of cryptocurrency.

Speaking in an interview, Binance Global Chief Marketing Officer Rachel Conlan highlighted the academy’s role in offering online tutorials and masterclasses on cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Bitcoin.

“We are really excited and committed to Kenya as a market. The Binance Academy is an online platform with over 100 tutorials and masterclasses, making it easy to learn and get involved in crypto,” Conlan said.

In-Person Training and Crypto School

Beyond online learning, Binance also hosts physical training events announced via social media and community channels.

“If people prefer in-person learning, we have events like today’s, where 900 people have signed up. It’s a great way to network and learn about the industry,” Conlan added.

Additionally, Binance offers a crypto school where participants earn a diploma certificate upon course completion.

Kenya’s Growing Crypto Adoption

Kenya has seen a steady rise in cryptocurrency users, with 4.4 million people engaged in crypto trading, according to Conlan.

She emphasized Binance’s commitment to integrating crypto into Kenya’s financial landscape, particularly with the country’s young population.

“At this moment, you have over 4.4 million crypto users in Kenya, and 74% of your population is under 35. That presents a huge opportunity for this industry,” she stated.
