Twitter unveils stickers for photos

Twitter Sticker

San Francisco, USA, 28 June – Twitter has added a new feature that allows users to add virtual stickers on photos. The social network announced it has released hundreds of stickers that users can pick from including the standard Unicode emoji

“Stickers is a fun new way to add creativity to your photos and connect them to the world on Twitter,” said Sasank Reddy, a Product Manager at Twitter in a blog post.

“Use them to share what you’re doing or how you’re feeling, to show support for a cause, or to just add some flair. You can use multiple stickers on a photo, resize and rotate them, and place them anywhere on your picture,” explained Reddy.

While a number of social networks and messaging apps have had the sticker feature for a while, Twitter has enabled search on #Stickers, giving a visual spin on the hashtag. Photos with the Stickers appear on a new time line allowing people to view the different creative ways #Stickers is being used.

In addition to custom stickers, Twitter announced it will be releasing stickers that identify specific seasons or events in the coming weeks.
