Nkuna, who currently serves as Director of Executive Management, will oversee operations across the firm’s offices in South Africa, Kenya and Namibia, supporting integration of its African business.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 25 – South African law firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr (CDH) has appointed Phetheni Nkuna as its Chief Operating Officer, effective April 1, 2026.

Nkuna, who currently serves as Director of Executive Management, will oversee operations across the firm’s offices in South Africa, Kenya and Namibia, supporting integration of its African business.

She joined the firm in October 2020 as a Director in the Employment Law practice and was promoted to Director of Executive Management in June 2023, where she managed key operational portfolios and worked closely with CEO Brent Williams on strategy execution.

Nkuna holds LLB and LLM degrees, a Certificate in Advanced Labour Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

Williams said Nkuna brings strong leadership and operational expertise to the role.
