YEGO boosts passenger safety with SGA Security pact

NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 2 – Ride-hailing company YEGO Mobility has signed a partnership with SGA Security to enhance passenger safety through advanced security measures and rapid response services.

Under the deal, YEGO will leverage SGA Security’s extensive infrastructure and fleet to provide real-time monitoring and emergency support, ensuring safer journeys for passengers and drivers alike.

“By partnering with SGA Security, we are taking a significant step in integrating robust security measures that complement our existing safety features,” said Karanvir Singh, CEO of YEGO Mobility.

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to offering the safest ride-hailing experience in Kenya.”

YEGO already offers a suite of security features, including an in-app SOS button, ongoing ride sharing, trip OTPs, and overspeeding alerts.

The collaboration with SGA adds another layer of protection by incorporating active security monitoring and dedicated emergency response.

“We are thrilled to partner with YEGO Mobility to set a new standard for safety and security in the digital taxi-hailing space,” said Lucas Njoroge Ndolo, Country Manager of SGA Security.

“Our resources and expertise will ensure seamless support for YEGO’s passengers and drivers across Kenya.”

YEGO Mobility, a subsidiary of Rwanda-based YEGO Global, entered the Kenyan market in 2022.

The platform is known for offering better terms for drivers and competitive fares for passengers.
