Airtel Money increases withdrawal charges for higher amounts

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 25 – Airtel Money has increased the withdrawal charge for higher amounts, effective today.

For instance, customers withdrawing between Sh50,000 and Sh250,000 will pay Sh300 to withdraw at Airtel Money agents.

Previously, those withdrawals between Sh70,001 and 250,000 were being deducted from Sh270.

However, charges on withdrawals on amounts between Sh1 and Sh49 will be free of charge for all clients.

“We have reviewed our Airtel Money transaction fees to enable our customers to continue enjoying affordable prices while transacting through their mobile money wallets.” Said Airtel Money Kenya MD Anne Kinuthia-Otieno.
