12 Kenyan firms ranked among Africa’s top 500 brands

Leading the Kenyan firms is Safaricom ranked 51st, followed by Kenya Power at 96, Vivo Energy Kenya at 107, Kenya Airways at 114, and TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya ranked 139.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 9 – Twelve Kenyan companies have been listed among the Top 500 companies in Africa by profit and turnover, according to a new report by The Africa Report.

Leading the Kenyan firms is Safaricom ranked 51st, followed by Kenya Power at 96, Vivo Energy Kenya at 107, Kenya Airways at 114, and TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya ranked 139.

Other Kenyan companies featured on the list include East African Breweries Limited (169), Naivas Supermarket (178), Quickmart Supermarket (333), KenGen (345), Kenya Pipeline Company (413), Unga Group (487), and BAT Kenya (489).

The report shows that Africa’s largest companies recorded a 6.2 percent year-on-year increase, with cumulative revenues reaching $782.8 billion.

According to the ranking, the continent’s top companies include Sonatrach of Algeria ranked first, Nigerian National Petroleum Company of Nigeria in second place, and Vivo Energy Group headquartered in South Africa.

The ranking highlights accelerating growth across Sub-Saharan Africa, supported by improved commodity performance, currency stabilization and shifting sectoral dynamics across the continent.
