NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 14 – A litre of Super petrol and diesel has dropped by about Sh4 in the latest fuel price review by EPRA, offering relief to motorists over the next month.
Under the new prices effective February 15 to March 14, 2026, Super petrol in Nairobi will retail at Sh178 per litre after a Sh4.24 reduction, while diesel falls by Sh3.93 to Sh167 per litre. Kerosene will sell at Sh152.78 per litre following a Sh1 cut.
EPRA said the prices are inclusive of 16 percent VAT and adjusted excise duty rates, and were largely driven by lower international landed costs.
The average landed cost of Super petrol declined 2.69 percent to $576.34 per cubic metre in January 2026, while diesel dropped 6.37 percent to $586.80. Kerosene fell 1.44 percent to $598.82.
Kenya imports all refined petroleum products, exposing local pump prices to global market shifts and exchange rate movements.
EPRA said the pricing framework under the Petroleum Act 2019 aims to cap retail prices while allowing recovery of prudent importation and distribution costs.
