NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 14 – Pump prices for petrol, diesel and kerosene will remain unchanged for the next month after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) retained current rates despite rising global oil prices linked to tensions in the Middle East.
In the latest monthly review, super petrol will retail at Sh178.28 per litre, diesel at Sh166.54, and kerosene at Sh152.78, effective from midnight.
EPRA said the decision comes even as the average landed cost of imported fuel rose between January and February.
“The average landed cost of imported Super Petrol increased by 1.00 percent from US$576.34 per cubic metre in January 2026 to US$582.11 in February,” the regulator said.
During the same period, diesel increased by 8.46 percent to $636.45 per cubic metre, while kerosene rose by 6.79 percent to $639.48 per cubic metre.
Global supply concerns have intensified after tensions around the Strait of Hormuz disrupted shipping routes, with some cargo vessels halting transit amid fears of attacks.
Meanwhile, international benchmark Brent crude oil prices surged to above $100 per barrel, up sharply from around $60 per barrel before the escalation of the Middle East conflict.
