Airbus sees revenue, net income growth in 2024

PARIS, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) — European aircraft manufacturer Airbus announced on Thursday that its total revenues reached 69.2 billion euros (72.6 billion U.S. dollars) in 2024, marking a 6-percent increase from the previous year.

In its full-year financial results, Airbus reported net income of 4.2 billion euros, up 12 percent from 2023. The company’s commercial aircraft division remained the primary revenue driver, generating 50.6 billion euros, up 6 percent from 2023, due to higher deliveries.

Airbus delivered 766 commercial aircraft in 2024, including 75 A220s, 602 A320 Family jets, 32 A330s, and 57 A350s.

Guillaume Faury, Airbus Chief Executive Officer, said in a press release that despite a challenging year, the company delivered on its 2024 guidance.

“We continue to pursue profitable growth and our decarbonization ambition,” he said, adding that the company’s strong financial results and confidence in future performance support its proposal for an increased dividend.

Looking ahead, Airbus aims to deliver approximately 820 commercial aircraft in 2025.
