NAIROBI, Kenya, April 22 – The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has urged manufacturers and industries to embrace energy efficiency and management to lessen their energy costs during operation.
Speaking while issuing an Energy Management Compliance Certificate to Kenafric Industries Limited and Kenafric Manufacturing Limited, EPRA’s Director of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Engineer Joseph Oketch, asserted that the move will be pivotal in increasing the productivity of the company using less energy.
The director further affirmed that the move will be fundamental to boosting overall economic growth.
“This investment will pay back since from now on once they will be able to produce more using less energy and that means that their cost of production will go down,” he stated.
Oketch further affirmed that the move will enable consumers to enjoy complete goods without wasting resources.
“This will have a positive impact on the factory itself and also the completeness of the goods because when they always put their makeup, they tend to have wastages on their production, but by doing this, the consumers can benefit and also the economy can benefit as well,” he stated.
