400 new electric buses introduced in Indian capital

NEW DELHI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) — Local government of the Indian capital Delhi on Tuesday rolled out 400 new electric buses, taking the number of electric buses in the capital to 800.

The buses were flagged off by Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal said by the end of this year the number of electric buses on Delhi’s roads will hopefully increase to 1,900.
