, KISUMU, Kenya, Aug 31 – Leaders eulogided the late Christabel Ouko, wife to the late Dr Robert Ouko as an industrious lady as she was laid to rest at her Koru farm in Muhoroni.

President Kenyatta said as a widow, Christabel strived to ensure that the will of her husband was achieved through education thereby building a library in his honour.

Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o said the late Christabel has left a foundation that will be cherished for years to come.

Nyong’o in the meantime delivered the condolences of Opposition leader Raila Odinga whom he said asked the people of Kisumu to accept any verdict from the Supreme Court since either way they will be the winners.

Christabel’s body was interred next to the grave of her late husband Dr Ouko who was assassinated in 1990.
