NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 27 – A police officer Sunday night shot his girlfriend dead before attempting to commit suicide in Githurai Kimbo.
According to police, the two had engaged in an argument before the man opened fire on her.
The officer is now admitted in hospital with a gunshot injury to the head.
Police say the officer was on patrol when he decided to go to his girlfriend’s house.

The three officers were apparently together and had been in a bar before they argued and stepped out of the joint on Tuesday at about 1.30am.
According to police, the argument persisted outside the bar before one of them pulled out a gun and shot the first colleague injuring him.
The survivor is based at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Police Station while the other officer worked at Jogoo House, the national police headquarters.
