NAIROBI, Kenya, May 31 – Nairobi will next week host one of East Africa’s largest automotive and industrial trade exhibitions, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, investors and technology firms seeking opportunities in the region’s growing mobility and manufacturing sectors.
The 27th edition of AUTOEXPO Kenya, scheduled for June 3–5, is expected to attract exhibitors from more than 30 countries and thousands of trade visitors from across East and Central Africa. The exhibition comes as Kenya continues to position itself as a regional business, logistics and manufacturing hub.
Industry stakeholders say rising vehicle ownership, ongoing infrastructure projects, expanding commercial transport networks and growing interest in electric mobility are creating new opportunities across the automotive value chain. Kenya is increasingly being viewed not only as a consumer market but also as a gateway to neighbouring countries.
According to organisers, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of products and technologies including passenger and commercial vehicles, spare parts, batteries, lubricants, garage equipment, automotive technologies and electric vehicle solutions.
“The exhibition attracts exhibitors from more than 20 countries and visitors from across East and Central Africa, showcasing advanced industrial technologies including machine tools, industrial automation, robotics, welding equipment, hydraulics, plastics machinery, manufacturing technologies and engineering solutions,” organisers said.
AUTOEXPO Kenya will run alongside three other trade events — EV EXPO Kenya 2026, INDUSMACH Kenya 2026 and TOOLS & HARDWARE Kenya 2026 — creating a broader platform for businesses operating in the automotive, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Organisers estimate that more than 10,000 products will be showcased during the exhibitions, with over 5,500 professional trade visitors expected to attend. The events are also expected to facilitate business partnerships, distribution agreements and technology-sharing opportunities between local and international firms.
The exhibitions come at a time when governments and businesses across Africa are exploring cleaner transport alternatives and investing in industrialization. Electric vehicles, smart mobility solutions and sustainable transport technologies are expected to feature prominently during the event.
Kenya has increasingly attracted multinational companies looking to expand into East Africa, supported by improvements in transport infrastructure, logistics networks and digital commerce. Industry players believe such exhibitions provide an opportunity for local businesses to connect with international manufacturers and investors while keeping pace with emerging industry trends.
As competition for new markets intensifies globally, the exhibitions are expected to highlight Kenya’s growing role in regional trade, manufacturing and mobility innovation.
