NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 18 – The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has appointed Eng. Jackson Karubiu Magondu as its new Director General for a three-year term.
In a statement, KeRRA Chairman Anthony Mwaura Ng’ang’a said Magondu’s appointment followed a competitive recruitment process.
Magondu boosts over 30 years of experience in engineering within the roads and infrastructure sector.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Infrastructure Management from Yokohama National University, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Nairobi, and has undertaken several executive and senior management courses.
Besides, the new DG is a registered engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (United Kingdom).
“The Board of Directors congratulates Eng. Jackson Karubiu Magondu on his appointment and wishes him well and God’s speed as he steers the Authority in this new season and chapter in the construction of rural roads and connecting devolved Kenya,” Ng’ang’a said.
KeRRA is mandated to develop, manage and maintain rural road networks across the country.
