NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 3 — Xiaomi Kenya has launched the Redmi 15C, a mid-range smartphone featuring a 6.9-inch display, 6000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging.
The device supports up to 22 hours of video playback, 82 hours of music, and 20 hours of reading on a single charge. It also features reverse charging, allowing the phone to double as a power bank for other devices.
The 6.9-inch HD+ display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light, and DC dimming for improved eye comfort.
For photography, the Redmi 15C is equipped with a 50MP AI dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera with portrait and beauty modes.
Powered by the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor, the phone offers up to 16GB RAM (via memory extension) and expandable storage of up to 1TB. It runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2, which integrates Circle to Search with Google and Google Gemini features.
The smartphone is designed with IP64 dust and water resistance, a side fingerprint sensor, and a 200% volume boost speaker. It comes in four color options: Midnight Black, Sage Green, Moonlight Blue, and Twilight Orange.
Pricing in Kenya starts at Sh11,999 for the 4GB+128GB model, Sh14,099 for the 6GB+128GB model, and Sh16,599 for the 8GB+256GB version.
As part of its launch campaign, Xiaomi is offering free Redmi Buds with every purchase, along with a weekly draw where customers can win prizes including Xiaomi 55-inch QLED TVs, smartphones, and power banks.
