Stanbic eyes affluent clients with premium credit cards

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 29 – Stanbic Bank has launched two premium credit cards, the Stanbic World Elite Card and the Stanbic World Card, aimed at affluent clients through a partnership with Mastercard.

The cards are designed to enhance the banking experience for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) with a range of exclusive benefits.

The new offerings provide access to over 1,200 airport lounges in 135+ countries and include perks such as a 30 percent discount at more than 800 golf clubs worldwide, including in Kenya.

Positioned within Stanbic’s Personal and Private Banking division, the cards are part of the bank’s affluent banking strategy to deliver luxury and personalized financial solutions.

Stanbic’s Head of Personal and Private Banking, Abraham Ongenge, emphasized the importance of offering clients access to platforms and services that add value.

“These cards not only grant access to premium benefits but also connect clients with exclusive experiences and solutions,” he said.

Mastercard’s Senior Vice President for East Africa, Shehryar Ali, noted that the collaboration aims to blend comfort and luxury for an exceptional banking experience.

The metallic Stanbic World Elite Card, a first in East Africa, offers advanced security features, contactless payments, and fraud protection.

It also includes lifestyle privileges like access to premium events, exclusive dining, luxury travel, and visa assistance, among others.
